All about Louise Thomas, Managing Director of Little Lucy Willow.

In the movie of your life, who would you like to play you?

I would like Renee Zellweger in the character of Bridget Jones to play the story of my life. I have had so many ‘Bridget Jones moments’ and can relate to the character completely.

Which song gets you dancing?

It would have to be Tina Turner’s Shake Your Tail Feather, I just can’t stop myself..to the embarrassment of the children! Also lately I can do a mean dance to Uptown Funk, but I am under strict instructions NOT to dance when my daughters’ friends are around!

Whats the best decision you ever made?

To take Lucy to meet her singing teacher. From that moment her voice has brought so much happiness to our family and other people.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

All I ever wanted to be was an air stewardess. I went to university to study teacher training in Manchester but kept finding myself sitting at the airport watching the planes instead of being in my lectures. So I followed my dream and worked for British Airways for a number of years. It was everything I had hoped and I loved seeing the world immensely.

If you could give one piece of advice to a young person today, what would it be?

I would say to believe in yourself – ‘a winner is just a loser who kept on trying’. If there is one thing I have learned in life it is to fight. Fight for what is important to you. Most importantly, fight for the ones you love and never forget to tell anyone how much they mean to you while they are still alive.

If you could change anything in your life what would it be?

I would love for my brother and sister to live close by. My sister lives and works in Derby with her family and my brother lives and works London with his wife. I am the lucky one to have our parents nearby and when we all get together as a family, which isn’t often enough, it makes me wish that we were always close. I would love for Jason’s parents to be closer too.

If you could be a celebrity for a day, who would you be and why?

This one is easy…I would like to be Beyonce. I would squeeze into a sparkly catsuit, have the biggest hair do and belt out all of those songs that only she can do. I wouldn’t want an audience though, just a mirror and a hairbrush would suffice.

What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

I couldn’t possibly tell you, just in case my mum reads this!

What’s your favourite meal in the whole world?

Oh gosh, I love all sorts of food! I absolutely love an afternoon tea at The Goring Hotel, London. They do know how to make a good butty!..and the cakes…oh wow!

Alternatively I do love a plate of chips, egg and beans with bread and butter and a cup of tea. I am easily pleased!

What is the best present you’ve ever received?

The best present that I ever received was the gift of motherhood. My daughters are my world. Like all mothers there are times when I yearn for space and freedom but I would hate to not have them in my life.

Which three people would you invite to a dinner party and why?

Firstly, I would have to sit next to Simon Cowell, just so I could work my persuasive magic and get him to sign Lucy to his record label.

Opposite me would be Julie Andrews. We would sing all the songs from The Sound of Music and even re enact some scenes. I wouldn’t need to do any preparation as I know every word and action to every song.

Lastly, I would have to ask my mother-in-law along. She is the best cook in the world, so if she didn’t mind rustling up something delicious, I would promise to help with the washing up.
