A little bit of organised chaos!

Life in the Lucy Willow household is a bit chaotic at the moment… A house move, a Lucy Willow (the business!) photo shoot, kids off school, a business to run and 999 Easter eggs to get through!

As a mum, business owner and wife (not sure which order to put these in), I am feeling a little bit like a juggler that can’t keep all the balls in the air. Do you know that feeling when you try to do everything and nothing gets done quite right, well that’s where I am at the moment!

Easter holidays means a busy showroom, which in turn means that it is all hands on deck manning the phones and showroom. In addition to this, the photo shoot for our new ‘Charlie Chaucer’ collection and a new ‘Looby Lou’ matching furniture range is booked for next week – very exciting. Our photo shoots take an enormous amount of planning though and I am a perfectionist where the room sets are concerned so a lot of hard work!

This week I have been busy trying to source new boys accessories and bedding for use at the photoshoot. I must admit, I find girls room much easier… They just seem to come together effortlessly, maybe it’s because I only have girls. I’m not about to rush into trying for a son just to release my creative masculine flair though!

Today, the girls and I went to a beautiful ice cream farm in Knutsford, Cheshire. It is well worth a visit if you are in the area (www.sevensistersfarm.co.uk). Lucy and Martha loved jumping on the hay bales in the barns and the swings made from recycled tyres that were shaped like horses. Me… I liked the ice cream best! There was even a flavour just for me… “Princess” – vanilla ice cream with popping candy and marshmallows… Delicious!!

Here is a snap of today’s activities down on the farm…
