Beach House Playhouse
Such dreamy, imaginative play takes me right back to my own childhood. However, instead of a beautifully crafted, easy-to-assemble playhouse, we had to make-do with a duvet precariously balanced between two dining chairs to fashion our special den. Sound familiar? The chairs had to be facing inwards of course in order to take the weight of the duvet (fun and educational...) As a consequence, there wasn’t much room to play with but we did our level best I can assure you!
Like bouncing on the bed and hiding in the airing cupboard (or was that just me?) dens are all part of growing up. As children, we were always resourceful enough to find the tools and materials necessary to build our secret hideaways. Blankets, towels, mum’s best cushions...And if nothing else we ALWAYS made sure our den had a roof. Because a den without a roof, well, that’s just undenable...sorry.
Luckily, all our Little Lucy Willow playhouses have a roof, sides and a door to boast of, so your duvets and dining chairs will be spared. As for your best cushions however….
