Beautiful children’s storage makes for beautiful tidy bedrooms.

When the sun comes out you want to be outside with it. The trouble is, more often than not, there are other things to do...work? washing up? the dreaded ironing perhaps?

If you’re anything like me, when there are jobs to be done you can’t just sit around and be all ‘chillaxed’ (as they say...). You want to enjoy the nice weather, but you just have to do those jobs. Otherwise you’ll be lying on your lounger, tapping your fingers, ‘casually’ humming and mentally planning how you are going to attack said jobs once the sun has gone in (deep breath) therefore willing the sun to go in so you can get on with your jobs which defeats the whole object...get it? So the easier those jobs are, the quicker they get done and the faster you can get outside to soak up some of those all-elusive rays without a personal guilt trip!

One such job on my never ending list is the trail of destruction left behind by my children. They obviously don’t take after me...No matter how many times I politely remind them to clean up after themselves, the mess persists. However, in their defence, they do reassure me that they will do it, just not at that precise moment. This is a problem for me, the mother who wants it done yesterday. My answer to this has been to invest in some decent Little Lucy Willow storage.

Our gorgeous storage bags are a good place to start. I liken this speedy cleanup activity to taking part in my very own version of ‘supermarket sweep’. I simply gather up all the stray bits and bobs that don’t belong downstairs, place them into the bag (my pretend trolley) as fast as I can, before returning the bag to its owner (stop the clock!). The owner (pretend cashier) can then survey the eclectic collection of goods I have discovered. Ok so I don’t win anything in my little game, but at least the house is tidy and in record time (yes Dale!).

When the goods have been returned to their rightful rooms, it is then up to the occupiers to sort them out in their own time. To help them complete this task they each have organisers and a bedding box - which I have never used for bedding I might add.

By the way, I am not so crazily tidy that I start ironing in the searing heat. Then again, if the basket is overflowing it might just have to come outside with me. You know what they say? Once a neat freak...
