Step into spring with Little Lucy Willow.

We are nearing the end of February and will soon be stepping into spring. What a lovely thought that is too. We have light evenings, warm weather and daffodils to look forward to. The thought of creeping ever so slowly towards summer is enough to raise a smile on anyone’s lips. That flicker of hope, that light at the end of the tunnel! There I go, wishing my life away again…

I know we’re not quite there yet but thanks to Little Lucy Willow we can still have flowers and butterflies. Daisy Brambles and Florence Flutterby will see to that, beckoning spring into bedtime with stunning, fresh design.

Changing seasons, earthly possessions, what would we do without them? Not forgetting friends and family too…Well I don’t know what I would do without mine but it seems some folk couldn’t give a fig.

I was reading about ‘Mars One’ the other day, a one way mission to Mars which will establish a human settlement on the red planet starting with 24 people in 2024.

Unbelievably, more than 200,000 people have applied from all over the world knowing they will have to leave EVERYTHING behind and never come back. Ever. It makes ‘Wanted Down Under’ look like a trip to the corner shop.

If you were to jet off into space, never to grace our beautiful planet again, what would you miss the most? I decided to make a list. Interestingly I discovered that most of the things I would be sad to leave are also the things I tend to despise – aside from friends and family of course (phew, that was close).

  • Take grass for example. I am a terrible hay fever sufferer. Say no more.
  • Sunlight. I am an out and out winter woman.
  • People. No don’t get me wrong, I love people. Just not lots of them, all at once.
  • Traffic. If I had a pound for every time I moaned about the traffic…
  • The park. I tend to try and avoid the park like the plague (well the playground to be more specific). This can prove difficult when you have two young children.
  • Walking down the street. I don’t really do much of this in all honesty.

Ok, I’m in, where do I sign up? Mars, here I come!
