This month we are hoping to get all you lovely Willowers out and about. Walking, running, doing cartwheels you name it. A picnic in a Little Lucy Willow playhouse (which are 10% of for this month only!) perhaps? Why not send in your photographs – and summer recipes – and share your activities with us?
Rain or shine, summer should be fun for us and our children so smear on the factor 50, throw open the doors and soak up the sun. Oh and it might be an idea to have the raincoats handy. Just saying…
It’s not just the weather that is steering us outdoors this year, as with so much televised sport to inspire us what better time to encourage our children to get active too? Of course, they may want to look to other country’s football teams if that’s their chosen sport (ahem), but with Wimbledon and the Commonwealth Games to enjoy there is much to distract from England’s defeat. Who can forget London 2012? Well Glasgow 2014 will be another spectacle of sport to remember.
But if track and field isn’t on your agenda maybe a bike ride along the riverbank is, or a trip to the park on the scooter. There is so much we can do away from the house there really is no excuse for staying in. You’ve been told!
